Midway Manufacturing
Founded – 1989
Midway was founded in 1989 by three partners; Derek Crompton, Charlie Hollinshead and Glynn Jones, under the trading name of Midway Electronics.
ISO 9001 Accreditation – 2002
Midway’s Quality Management System was compiled around the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 gaining accreditation in 2002.
Incorporation – 2016
Midway Manufacturing Ltd was incorporated as a private limited company in April 2016
Relocation / Expansion – 2017
The relocation to Atlas Works, Longton is to facilitate Midway’s expansion and future growth plans. The new building is more than three times the size of the old factory in Sandbach and is better suited to meet our business needs and operations.
Incorporation of Midway Design Service Ltd – 2017
To offer customers a wider range of services, Midway Design Services Ltd was incorporated in 2017. This was after several successful partnerships / design and development projects.
Incorporation of Midway Contract Electronics Ltd – 2018
Midway continues its growth and expansion with the introduction of an Electronics Manufacturing Service company.
IPC Accreditation – 2019
Midway gained IPC accreditation in the following; IPC-610 IPC-620 IPC-J-STD IPC 7711/7721
Midway Group Established – 2019
Midway Group of Companies was created bringing together the three business units under one brand. DESIGN IT | BUILD IT | CONNECT IT
30 Year Anniversary – 2019
Midway Manufacturing Ltd celebrates 30 years of service.
Expansion 2nd site in Telford – 2021

The Launch Of Midway Scientific – 2021
Midway group continues its growth and expansion with the introduction of Midway Scientific, a precision engineering machine shop and high tech electro-mechanical assembly and test service for the scientific instrumentation sector.
ISO 9001-2015 Accreditation for Midway Group – 2022
Midway Scientific was added as an expansion to the scope to ensure the whole Midway Group of companies are ISO accredited.
2023 – The launch of Midway Procurement Ltd
Midway group continues on its growth trajectory with the introduction of Midway Procurement Ltd, providing technical procurement solutions to our OEM & CEM partners.
2023 – Hanley Office
Additional premises purchased to facilitate Midway’s expansion and future growth plans.
